EDITORIAL STANDARDS

Evidence first. Clear limits.

Our editorial policy explains how payment and payout information should be researched, explained, reviewed and corrected.

Last updated: 21 October 2026

Core standard: readers should be able to tell what a provider officially states, what BestStackHub infers from it, when it was checked, and what still needs direct confirmation.

Source hierarchy

For eligibility, supported countries, fees, account requirements and product features, we prioritise official provider documentation, help centres, pricing pages and published terms. Government, regulator or payment-network sources may be used where they are the authoritative source for a rule.

Secondary sources can provide context or help identify a question, but they should not override a current official source without an explicit explanation. If an official rule cannot be located or is ambiguous, the page should say so rather than guess.

Distinguish the capability being discussed

Payment availability is not a single yes/no condition. Content should distinguish, where relevant:

  • Eligibility to create or hold an account.
  • Eligibility for an individual versus a registered business.
  • Accepting payments from customers versus receiving platform payouts.
  • Holding a balance, converting currency and withdrawing to a bank.
  • Country availability versus supported currencies, payment methods and specific features.

Accuracy and verification dates

Pages that discuss rules that can change should display a meaningful “last verified” date only after the relevant claims have actually been checked. A date is not proof by itself: editors should keep a source trail, note material limitations and revisit outdated claims when a provider changes its documentation.

Testing and wording

We should not claim that a product was personally tested unless a test was actually performed and its scope can be described. A page based on public documentation should be described as a source-based comparison or research guide. Estimates must be labelled as estimates, and unknown details must remain unknown rather than being filled with assumptions.

Corrections

When a credible correction is identified, the affected claim should be rechecked against its best available source. Material changes should be reflected in the page and its verification date. For corrections, readers can use the email address on the Contact page.

Affiliate links and editorial independence

Any affiliate relationship should be disclosed clearly near relevant links and on the affiliate disclosure page. Commercial relationships should not be described as evidence of provider quality, and paid placement must not be disguised as an independent recommendation.

Limits

Provider rules can change without notice and can be affected by a user's residence, business registration, verification status or other circumstances. Our editorial process can reduce mistakes; it cannot guarantee that every page is complete or that a provider will approve a particular account.
